This week past week of September 6, the girders over the channel were erected. The channel will be reopened to boating traffic by the end of the day Friday, 9/10, and remain open all weekend.
During the week of September 13:
- The Lake Zoar channel underneath the Rochambeau Bridge will be closed again on Monday morning, 9/13, to allow for final placement of all cross frames and final tightening of all of the bolts on the cross frames and within the splices of each girder.
- The channel will be re-opened to boating traffic when that work is complete, no later than Friday, 9/17.
- We will begin removing the temporary erection towers and forming the parapet overhangs.
