This past week of June 19, we accomplished the following work:
- Continued to shift precast barrier on Westbound I-84
- Continued to restore access roads using material from the temporary re-use stockpile area (TRSA)
- Continued to install the water quality swale in Southbury & Newtown
- Continued to install rip-rap for slope protection
- Continue to restore the medians on the Newtown and Southbury sides
- Competed electrical conduit across the median
- Continue to monitor and control environmental Best Management Practices (BMPs)
NIGHT WORK BEGINS NEXT WEEK
Monday through Friday nights, June 26 through June 30, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, as follows:
- I-84 Westbound: left-lane closures Monday 6/26 through Wednesday 6/28
- I-84 Westbound: right-lane closures Thursday 6/29 and Friday 6/30
- I-84 Eastbound: left-lane closures Thursday 6/29 or Friday 6/30
During the week of June 26, we anticipate the following work:
- Start full depth reconstruction of the left shoulder on Westbound I-84
- Continue to restore access roads using material from the TRSA
- Continue to install the water quality swale Southbury & Newtown
- Continue to install rip-rap for slope protection
- Continue to restore the medians on the Newtown and Southbury sides
- Start installation of planting Newtown side at Underhill Road
- Continue to monitor and control environmental BMPs
