This past week of June 26, we accomplished the following work:

  • Continued to restore access roads using material from the TRSA
  • Continued to install the water quality swale in Southbury & Newtown
  • Continued to install rip-rap for slope protection
  • Continued to restore the medians on the Newtown and Southbury sides
  • Continued to grade for full-depth paving on WB I-84 on the Newtown side
  • Began full-depth shoulder reconstruction on WB I-84 Southbury
  • Continued to monitor and control environmental BMPs

No lane closures over the Independence Day Holiday

Night work:

  • Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 14 from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
  • The contractor will have a small night crew in the median on Monday night, July 3

Next week of July 3, we plan to accomplished the following work:

  • Start full-depth reconstruction of the left shoulder WB in Newtown
  • Complete full-depth reconstruction on the left shoulder WB in Southbury
  • Continued to restore access roads using material from the TRSA
  • Continued to install the water quality swale in Southbury & Newtown
  • Continued to install rip-rap for slope protection
  • Continue to restore the medians on the Newtown and Southbury sides
  • Install metal beam rail on WB project-wide
  • Continue to monitor and control environmental BMPs
