This past week of June 26, we accomplished the following work:
- Continued to restore access roads using material from the TRSA
- Continued to install the water quality swale in Southbury & Newtown
- Continued to install rip-rap for slope protection
- Continued to restore the medians on the Newtown and Southbury sides
- Continued to grade for full-depth paving on WB I-84 on the Newtown side
- Began full-depth shoulder reconstruction on WB I-84 Southbury
- Continued to monitor and control environmental BMPs
No lane closures over the Independence Day Holiday
Night work:
- Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 14 from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- The contractor will have a small night crew in the median on Monday night, July 3
Next week of July 3, we plan to accomplished the following work:
- Start full-depth reconstruction of the left shoulder WB in Newtown
- Complete full-depth reconstruction on the left shoulder WB in Southbury
- Continued to restore access roads using material from the TRSA
- Continued to install the water quality swale in Southbury & Newtown
- Continued to install rip-rap for slope protection
- Continue to restore the medians on the Newtown and Southbury sides
- Install metal beam rail on WB project-wide
- Continue to monitor and control environmental BMPs
