This past week of March 27, we accomplished the following work:
- Began bridge deck surface prep for application of the waterproof membrane
- Began preparation to form and pour, and restore the concrete sidewalk pedestrian path
- Completed pouring parapet concrete for the Eastbound bridge
- Continued drainage work for final highway stormwater collection
- Continued the removal of the temporary work trestle on the Southbury side
- Continued rubbing and grinding the bridge parapets
- Continued the installation of rip-rap for slope protection
- Continued to monitor and control environmental BMPs
The Contractor will have crews working this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday.
During the week of April 3, we will:
- Continue bridge deck surface prep for application of the waterproof membrane
- Begin application of the waterproof membrane for the Eastbound bridge deck
- Continue preparation to form and pour, and restore the concrete sidewalk pedestrian path
- Complete removal of the temporary trestle
- Continue to install navigation lighting (red) on the I-84 EB bridge
- Continue existing substructure concrete spot repair
- Continue to install rip-rap for slope protection
- Continue to rub and grind parapet concrete
- Continue to monitor and control environmental BMPs
